Inspiration Masters
As part of the Inspiring Series, we meet individuals whose work and experiences offer perspectives worth sharing. In this episode, we had the opportunity to speak with Danji Thotapalli, Co-founder and Chief Curator of the Center for Indic Films.
Danji discusses the Indic Film Utsav, a global platform that brings together cinema rooted in India’s cultural heritage and civilizational thought with contemporary storytelling. He shares how the festival supports filmmakers, connects Indic stories with wider audiences, and creates opportunities for emerging voices.
The conversation explores the role of cinema in preserving cultural narratives while allowing them to evolve through new forms of storytelling and creative expression.
The 6th Indic Film Utsav, themed the Festival of Positive Cinema, was held in Dallas from November 7–9, 2025, featuring documentaries, short films, features and ultrashorts from across the world.
